"Well, it finally happened and ended up in the ER / ICU / Hospital for the first time in my life!! From Pulmonary Failure due to COPD and had to be rushed here via 911 / Ambulance. I was obviously unconscious for the first 36 hours, but was eventually conscious and for the remaining 2 day stay here. I have no complaints at all, other than the bill and what human being doesn’t complain about bills though. To be honest that would be a Health Care Industry conversation anyways. But, as far as the Facility and Team goes I have no complaints whatsoever. I felt very well taken care of, the Team displayed compassion and empathy for myself / situation. Intensive Care Unit (ICU), was very comfortable and in my inexperienced opinion included everything needed. The ICU Team, again showed compassion and empathy. Then after being transferred to “Medical / Surgery” (Floor 3), I was placed in a room alone which was very comfortable and included much more personal amenities since I was considered stable at this point in time. The “Medical / Surgery” (Floor 3) Team, was very thorough and I was well taken care of on almost an hourly basis. The food, being “hospital food” was still very good in my opinion and was of good quality plus good portion sizes. Every single one of my request(s), was taken care of and in a timely manner. Hopefully, I never have to return for another stay and if I happen to I will comfortably knowing everything stated above. 🗣️ THANK YOU: Dr. Shih, Dr. Chaney, Dr. Hall, the ENTIRE Respiratory Team and the HCA Team as a whole‼️"

"Unfortunately we had to make a trip to this hospital through the ER. We recieved great care and attention from the staff. Dr Andrea Arrieta was caring and knowledgeable. But I must mention without any hesitation that Ashley in Trauma was one of the greatest nurses I've seen in action in a very long time! Her services and knowledge were greatly appreciated! I don't know her last name but if you know her, share our sentiment and appreciation"

"My doctor Dr TWAN (who is the best GI dr ever) called and asked me to go to the ER to be admitted into the hospital. It’s hard to start IV on me of my frailness so we told the nurse and she called Logan the man who does the ultrasound and he got it first try. In contrast the week before it took eight tries four people to put one IV in. Logan was amazing. The staff was awesome and they helped me through the process easily. Once submitted and put in a room, the nurses were fantastic. I was worried about the blood draws because again I’m a hard stick but each time they came to draw blood they got me first try it was awesome. They’re very attentive although I did not need much attention when I did they were there. I cannot think of anything that I had an issue with. In contrast with other local hospitals I’d choose ft Walton over all local ones. The nurses on floor 4 thank you and everyone who helped care for me. I was so nervous because of other experiences I have had at the hands of other hospitals, you took such good care, thank you all again and may God bless each of you for your tireless care for others!!"
